The fifth and final season of Tasmanian comedy Rosehaven is now streaming

Real-life besties Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola create and star as a pair of dysfunctional besties in Rosehaven, the ABC comedy that has delighted us over four loveably awkward seasons.

Depending on how you look at it, we’re either very lucky or very unlucky to be saying goodbye to these character, in the midst of their fifth and final season. The first few episodes of Rosehaven‘s new season are already available on ABC’s iview, the epic climax of a high-drama, high-stakes Australian saga. I’m fully joking, the show is about a pair of mates running a Tasmanian real estate business.

Set in the titular, fictional Tasmania town, Rosehaven has featured a who’s-who of Aussie comedic talent over its run, whilst never feeling particularly showy or heightened. That’s the charm of McGregor and Pacquola’s storytelling, where the biggest dramatic question of the season is whether or not Daniel’s mum Barbara might finally settle down and retire.

Season five of Rosehaven airs on ABC for TV viewers, and you can watch each episode as they come out week-by-week on iView, the broadcaster’s online streaming platform. From August 4 to September 22, all 8 episodes can be watched for free by us wannabe Rosehaven residents.

Even though we won’t have much more of Daniel and Emma’s fictional friendship and hilarious fumbles to witness, we can still get excited for whatever Pacquola and McGregor get up to in the future. Here, for instance, they are on ABC’s breakfast news, questioning hopefully whether they could be fused together in a lab.
