About the NBA 2023-2024 season

The National Basketball Association’s 2023-2024 season kicks off this very week with the LA Lakers taking on the Denver Nuggets at Denver’s Ball Arena, while the Phoenix Suns clash with the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Centre in San Francisco, both on October 24. From then we can expect 25 furious weeks of on-court action, culminating in the final 15 games of the regular season on April 14, before the playoffs take us to the Finals, which start on June 6 at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.

Notably, this year sees the inauguration of the NBA In-Season Tournament, which runs from November 3 to December 9, with all 30 teams competing and all games bar the Final counting towards regular season standing.

When is the NBA 2023-2024 season

The season starts October 24, 2023 and the regular season ends on April 14, 2024. Playoffs begin on April 20. And then the finals run from June 6 to June 23 (if 7 games are necessary).

Who are the favourites to win the NBA 2023-2024?

The Celtics and the Bucks are tied in the eyes of the bookies, with the Nuggets and Suns coming in second and third. Everyone else is picking up scraps this year, although never rule out an upset. It’s worth noting that the Dubs have picked up four championships in recent years under the command of head coach Steve Kerr, and point guard Steph Curry remains a generational talent, so if there’s a possible upset this season, we’d be looking at the Warriors to beat the odds.
