Moonlight Cinema returns to Australia with its outdoor theatre experience this summer

Moonlight Cinema returns this Summer, delivering an outdoors big-screen experience packed with 2022 hits and special preview screenings as well as the odd classic screening.

Now in its 27th year, Moonlight Cinema is back and delivering the outdoor moviegoing experience to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Sessions kick off at the end of November 2022 and run until March 2023.

The line-up includes some of the year’s biggest titles including recent Marvel hit Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Billy Eichner rom-com Bros, manic animated flick Minions: The Rise of Gru, and family musical Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

Audiences can also catch special preview screenings of DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Steven Spielberg’s self-biopic The Fablemans, and the highly anticipated adaptation of Tim Winton’s best-selling novel Blueback.

If you missed them during their cinema run, or just keen to experience them again, this year’s line-up also includes early 2022 blockbuster releases Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis, Don’t Worry Darling, and Ticket to Paradise.

Rounding off the line-up are retro screenings of all-time classic Grease and a selection of Christmas favourites: Love, Actually, The Holiday, Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Die Hard.
