Feeling good as hell: Australian trailer and release date for Love, Lizzo

I love Lizzo, you love Lizzo, we all love Lizzo. And so we’re all ecstatic as hell to learn that the new documentary, Love, Lizzo, is debuting on Binge and Foxtel Now on November 25.

Directed by the Emmy Award-winning Doug Pray, who produced the compelling documentary portrait of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre, The Defiant Ones, Love, Lizzo charts the superstar’s meteoric rise from humble beginnings to her current status as a world-beating, multiple-award-winning absolute queen, racking up four Grammys over three albums and releasing a string of irresistible, catchy-as-hell hit singles.

But as we know, it wasn’t always like that, and as Lizzo herself notes in the trailer, “Y’all have no idea how close I was to this not being a thing.”

According to the production, “Love, Lizzo follows the journey of Lizzo, a trailblazing superstar who has become the movement the world desperately needed just by being herself.  The documentary shares the inspirational story behind her humble beginnings to her meteoric rise with an intimate look into the moments that shaped her hard-earned rise to fame, success, love and international stardom.”

Lizzo is no stranger to being in front of the camera, of course. Apart from her music videos, she’s made a number of appearances on the big and small screen, notably her featured supporting role in real life stripper drama Hustlers and, of course, host of her own reality talent series, Watch Out for Big Grrrls, which she also produces.

But Love, Lizzo promises to be a more intimate and revealing affair altogether, taking us behind the scenes and into the pressure cooker world of the entertainment industry, as well as the singer’s own inner life, hopes and dreams. If that sounds good as hell to you, be sure to crank the volume up loud on November 25.
