Melbourne’s QV Cinema includes deck chairs, pooches and city skylines!

Pop-up cinemas are a dime a dozen these days. But…dogs, deckchairs, wireless headphones, city skylines and cheap tickets? Yep, we’re in.

Melbourne’s QV Cinema offers something genuinely different. Guests are seated on deckchairs outside, in the open air QV centre, which is located in the heart of the CBD (near Melbourne Central).  Each patron is provided a set of wireless headphones upon arrival, equipped with individual volume controls.

The QV area is full of bars and restaurants, so grabbing something to eat or drink and making a night of it won’t be a problem. Oh, and the cinema is dog-friendly! There might even be some pooches to pat.

The tickets are cheap: $12 per person. With an 80 person capacity, the organisers recommend booking online early to avoid disappointment. The QV cinema screens films every weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) throughout March.

The program is a mixture of old and recent titles. The March program includes My Neighbour Totoro, Sing, Pitch Perfect, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Ali’s Wedding and The Princess Bride.
