Event Cinemas will offer free arts and crafts for kids during the school holidays

With the arrival of every school holiday period comes the inevitable discussion about which films to take the kids to.

Key titles playing during the upcoming holidays include Tim Burton’s Dumbo remake, the animated movie Wonder Park and The Lego Movie 2.

Parents wanting to pad out the time spent at the cinema might want to check out what’s on offer at Event Cinemas, which will feature a program of free art activities. They have been designed to that that kids can “make take-home artworks as a memory of their day out at the movies.”

Activities will include making bookmarks, hats and masks, each activity themed to different family movies.

Emphasis on FAMILY. So no, junior won’t be making a mask of that creepy demonic cat from Pet Sematary.

Participating cinemas are scattered across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and The Northern Territory.
