When will Deadpool 3 be released in Australia?
If you’ve ever wondered how Ryan Reynolds’ manic, irreverent super-powered mercenary would fare in the much more self-serious world of the mainstream Marvel Cinematic Universe, you’re about to find out…
When is Deadpool 3 being released in Australia)
The film will be hitting Australian cinemas on May 2, 2024.
Deadpool & Wolverine
What is Deadpool 3 about?
Honestly, your guess is as good as ours. The good folks at Marvel are being pretty tight-lipped about this one – about as tight-lipped as Deadpool was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. We do know that Shawn Levy, who previously directed Hugh Jackman in Real Steel and Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project and Free Guy, is calling the shots on this one. Sure, all of those were terrible, but have a little faith.
The cast of Deadpool 3
Well, the big news is we’re getting High Jackman back as Wolverine! And Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool! That alone will be worth the price of admission, we feel. Indeed, a lot of familiar faces are showing up in this one, including Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead (great song, by the way), Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter, hapless can-do everyman and clear MVP.
Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen are on board in roles that have yet to be disclosed, but the big news is that Jennifer Garner is reprising her role as frequently-deceased assassin Elektra Natchios from the Daredevil movies, for reasons we simply cannot fathom.
Deadpool 3 trailer
Nah, just kidding: no trailer yet. This is cute, though.
Why we’re excited about Deadpool 3
Look, everyone involved just seems so happy to be making this, it feels churlish not to get in on the fun. Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, Jackman is clearly having a blast eating his body weight in raw steak every damn day to play Wolverine, and frankly the MCU could benefit from some of DP’s weird energy.
