What is Reacher season 2 about?
It’s about bad guys being outsmarted and then casually obliterated by a man with a mind like Sherlock Holmes on Adderall and a right hook that could reverse tectonic drift, that’s what. But in detail, after a member of his old military unit turns up dead under unusual circumstances (i.e. being dropped from a helicopter), our hero must uncover a conspiracy of corrupt former officers with the help of his old comrades – before they’re all picked off one by one.

Why we’re excited about Reacher season 2
The singular charm of Reacher is the way it splits the difference between the prestige TV of today and the episodic case-of-the-week television of yesteryear. While there’s an overarching plot, the barrier to entry is extremely low: there’s a big guy who wrecks criminals – watch him wreck.
That’s a feature, not a bug, though; simple is deceptively hard. Like it’s protagonist, there’s a lot going on under the surface. And we cannot empathise the atavistic joy of watching Ritchson punch dudes – it’s like watching Michelangelo paint. With blood.
