How many MCU movies and shows are there?

Since its inception all the way back in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become one of the most successful screen franchises of all time. Sure, Iron Man was a blast, but the real juice was the after-credits scene, when Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury stepped out of the shadows and uttered those portentous words, “The Avengers Initiative”. Nerds around the world all sat forward in their seats—and judging by the MCU’s unheralded popularity, we’re all nerds now.

It can be hard for the newcomer to get their head around the vastness of the MCU, though—what do you need to see? What’s the perfect order in which to watch ’em all? And exactly how many are there?

Well, we can’t help you with the first two questions, but we’ve got you for the last. Here for your edification is every single extant Marvel Cinematic Universe film and TV series. And because we’re nice, we’ll even include edge cases like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the various Netflix series, whose canonicity is currently questionable, but nonetheless add to the rich tapestry that is the MCU.
