Australian box office report: Super Pets sits, stays at number one

Our weekly guide to what’s happening at the Australian box office – thanks to Numero.

Family-friendly superhero flick DC League of Super Pets had another mighty week at the Australian box office, collecting over $4 million. Ticket to Paradise also made some handsome gains in its third week, taking its total gross to almost $12 million.

Meanwhile, Smile has nothing to frown about. It may not feature a superhero or hold heavy star power, but the surprise horror still took a respectable chunk of the box office. As did Ponniyin Selvan: I, which fares well for future films in the Indian period action saga.
