Time-travelling storyline brings together the two X-Men universes created by directors Bryan Singer (X-MenX2) and Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class). Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy reprise their roles as Professor Charles Xavier, and Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender will return as Magneto. Halle Berry and Elliot Page from Singer’s trilogy and Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult from Vaughn’s film also star. Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage will play the main villain.

Based on Marvel's 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline Days of Future Past by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.
