Two conmen head to El Dorado in search of treasure in this big budget animated Dreamworks affair. Stars Kevin Kline and features narration and music by Elton John.

After finding a map to the lost City of Gold, El Dorado, swindlers Tulio (Kline) and Miguel (Kenneth Branagh) stow away in one of Spanish explorer Cortez's ships headed towards the city. The pair end up lost at sea, but eventually arrive at their destination. There, a priest (Armand Assante) proclaims them to be gods in a scheme to win control of the city for himself, while a beautiful girl, Chel (Rosie Perez), helps them with their plan.

Lush animation and standard storytelling are enlivened by camp heroes, veiled references to sex "n" drugs and a sprinkling of decent gags. Just make sure you schedule toilet breaks for the songs, or you'll be heading for them anyway - to be sick.
