The Angry Birds Movie 2
Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Bill Hader return to lend their voices to the sequel to 2016's animated action comedy based on the popular mobile game. Newcomers include Rachel Bloom and Awkwafina.
When a new threat puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Sudeikis), Chuck (Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride) and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck’s sister Silver (Rachel Bloom, TV's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and call on pigs Leonard (Hader), Courtney (Awkwafina) and tech-pig Garry (Sterling K. Brown, Black Panther) to form a rag-tag team to save their homes.

pressWith its bickering family of disparate cross-species characters and regular segues to a trio of chicks attempting to rescue one of their number's unhatched siblings, it's hard not to see the similarities between this and the Ice Age series (it even shares a writer – Peter Ackerman). But if you're after undemanding fare for primary schoolers in the next few weeks that you might also get a chuckle or two from, then Birds is the word.
