A French romance following Suzanne (the always great Kristin Scott Thomas, Gosford Park, The English Patient), a well-to-do married mother in the south of France, and her mid-life affair.

Suzanne's idle bourgeois lifestyle is getting her down so she decides to return to her work as a physiotherapist. Her husband agrees to fix up a consulting room for her in their backyard. When she meets the Spanish man (Pan's Labyrinth's Sergi López) hired to do the building, their mutual attraction is sudden and violent. Suzanne goes for gold, decides to give up her life and family and live this all-engulfing passion to the fullest.
