Diary of a Chambermaid (2015)

Léa Seydoux (Blue is the Warmenst Colour) is Célestine in this adaptation of Octave Mirbeau's 1900 novel. In late 19th-century France, chambermaid Célestine - courted for her beauty - deals with the cruelty and perversions of her upper class masters. While working at a bourgeoisie home in Normandy, she meets Joseph (Vincent Lindon), a mysterious gardener, for whom she feels a fascination.
