Breakdance drama, starring Lost's Josh Holloway and singer Chris Brown, following an American crew of B-boys looking to overcome their egos and reclaim the Battle of the Year International Championship title. More

Battle of the Year is the Olympics of break dancing, an international tournament held every year in France. The Americans haven't won in 15 years, but LA Hip Hop mogul and former B-Boy Dante (Laz Alonso) wants to put the country that started the sport back on top. He enlists Blake (Holloway), a reluctant basketball coach, to guide his team. Armed with the theory that the right coach can make any team champions, they assemble a dream team of all the best B-boys across the country.

From the makers of Planet B-Boy, a documentary on the annual championship.

It isn’t good by any stretch of the imagination, but B-movie lovers who like their dance movies flashy, fun, and spectacularly dumb shouldn’t mind.

The young dancers' undeniable skill and athleticism is squandered in this formulaic, overly familiar dance movie.
