The cheapest movie tickets in Sydney
A simple trip to the cinemas can chip away at your wallet more than many of us would like—and that’s before we even begin to consider add-ons like popcorn or choc tops.
All that said, there’s still nothing like the cosy embrace of a proper big-screen experience, so we’ve collated together the most competitive ticket prices from theatres around Sydney, New South Wales.
While many cinema branches offer tempting discounts to cinema-goers who sign up as members, we haven’t included member prices in this list, nor concession (student/senior/child/family) or special event ticket prices. Only the most reasonable standard ticket rates, and what day to visit for the best discounts (Tuesday. It’s always gonna be on Tuesday).
Dendy Newtown
Being a Dendy member earns you an astoundingly cheap $1 ticket on the week of your birthday—but non-members can win big, too, by seeing their broad selection of films on a Tuesday.
