Free? Critically acclaimed? Chinese cinema? Consider us interested.

The first ever Chinese Film Week launches this week, running from February 27 to March 3 at Event Cinemas on George Street.

Created by the Sydney China Cultural Centre, the initiative showcases seven feature films that were box office hits and/or received rare reviews from critics.

“The free Chinese Film Week program has been curated to offer Sydney audiences a rare chance to enjoy the most exciting Chinese cinema from the past few years,” says Chen Shuang, Director of China Cultural Centre in Sydney.

“The initiative aims to connect with lovers of the arts, whilst tightening bonds and experiences between international audiences and broadening the appeal of Chinese cinema.”
