I saw his face, now I’m a Belieber: how to watch the Justin Bieber: Our World in Australia

In the seminal anthem ‘One Time’, a 15-year-old Justin Bieber croons to the listener that ‘your world is my world/and your fight is my fight’.

He’s had a few album cycles, public disgraces, and questionable moustaches since then, but Bieber is back to live up to his lyric’s claim with Justin Bieber: Our World. Fans can sing/scream along with this exciting musical event from October 8, when the concert doco is available on Prime Video for Australian subscribers.

In the trailer below, Bieber speaks about yearning to “bring people together” in a divisive and fearful time—Los Angeles in particular was the world’s COVID epicentre in January of this year, and perhaps all they needed to rise up from tragedy was a Biebs concert on top of the Beverly Hilton.

There were 280 mega-fans invited to attend in person, whilst Beliebers from around the world could watch a livestream of the all-singing, all-dancing set. Justin has clearly done a lot of growing up since his run-ins with both the law and the guestbook of Amsterdam’s Anne Frank house, now a happily married man of God. But he’s still got that teen idol voice and some sick lil moves to show off, sweating it out in a hoodie and beanie onstage.

It’ll be a while until Australian audiences can attend huge live performances like this, so Justin Bieber: Our World could be just the thing to keep you satisfied for now. It’s also been three years since the Canadian pop prince’s last live performance, making this a somewhat anticipated release for true Beliebers. Who are we kidding, they’ve probably been hyped about the release of this movie for longer than Bieber himself.

Part concert movie, part personal, behind-the-scenes documentary, Justin Bieber: Our World is a feature-length dive into one of the pop world’s most beloved bad boys. And Prime Video’s the only place to see it all go down, baby (baby, baby, ooooh).
