How to watch BTS: Yet to Come in Australia

K-Pop stans are in for a treat as the ridiculously popular BTS take to the stage. Well, technically they took to the stage in October 2022, but they filmed it, and now it’s streaming. It’s a concert movie!

How to watch BTS: Yet to Come in Australia

BTS: Yet to Come is streaming in Australia exclusively on Amazon Prime Video now.

What is BTS: Yet to Come about?

This is a re-edit of the film BTS Yet to Come in Cinemas, which did the theatrical rounds in some markets in January and has been slightly retitled for streaming release for what should be obvious reasons. Or, as the official synopsis offers:

“Join RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook in this special cinematic cut, re-edited and remixed content. Watch new close-up angles and a whole new view of the entire concert, BTS Yet To Come in Busan. Featuring hit songs from across the group’s career, including Dynamite, Butter and IDOL, plus the first concert performance of Run BTS from the group’s latest album Proof.”

In more detail, this thing was shot at Asiad Main Stadium in Busan, South Korea, in October 2022 as part of the city’s bid for the 2030 World Expo. It was free, too. The estimated 50,000-strong live crowd saw it on the house, but obviously you’re going to need an Amazon Prime subscription for to check out the resulting 103 minute extravaganza.

The cast of BTS: Yet to Come

BTS, obviously: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. And 50,000 screaming fans. Possibly the odd stage tech.

What are the critics saying about BTS: Yet to Come?

Well, to be honest, K-pop concert films have never attracted much attention from the critical fraternity, historically speaking. But boy, has the fan reaction been overwhelmingly positive, which is what counts with this sort of thing. And we’re suckers for a highly-polished slice of commercial pop, so we’ll certainty give it a spin.
