Star Wars: The Force Awakens smashed everything box office-wise in Australia and worldwide, sending records tumbling and tills ringing. It’s $27.2 million opening is the largest ever in Australian box office history (beating The Deathly Hallows Part 2 which made $18.3 million in its first weekend). The Force Awakens, after 4 days, is already Australia’s 9th highest grossing film of 2015.
