Introducing the Cinema Census (Win a Year of Free Movies)

The Australian Cinema Census

Hear ye Australia… today we launch the first Australian Cinema Census. We want to find out how you are really watching their films.

It takes about three minutes to complete, and everyone who enters goes in the draw to win 52 movie tickets (one for every week of the year), to your cinema of choice*.

Fliks.com.au editor Steve Newall says: “While there is some data out there on viewing habits, there are obvious gaps on cinema audience opinions – both around the cinema going experience and the shift to watching movies online.”

We hoping to provide movie-lovers with the chance to voice their opinion. We also hope it’s a first step in providing invaluable data back to cinemas and distributors on a regular basis, to help improve movie watching for everyone.

Fliks.com.au writer Beatrix Coles says: “There’s been a lot of conversation about ticket prices and piracy in Australia lately. We created the Cinema Census to lift the lid on our viewing habits and look at how people are actually watching movies- and how they’d like to be.”

It’s open until July 3 and the results will be released later in July.
