Ned Kelly (2003)

Heath Ledger is outlaw Ned Kelly in this Australian western. After being unfairly jailed in the 1870s, the bushranger emerges hardened but intent on staying straight. But when British colonial prejudice against the working class turns to intimidation and false charges, Kelly goes bush with a posse and seeks revenge against his oppressors. Clashes with police lead to three dead, Kelly gains notoriety and blazes a trail through the Outback - robbing banks to fund the gang, and outwitting the authorities.
