While it's no Step Brothers it's still a great laugh, these too rarely fail to deliver on the laughs. Much more entertaining than anything that was nominated for an Oscar.

Does it count? This was a complete waste of my time. 90 minutes of drawn-out jokes that failed to elicit a single laugh. The worst movie I have seen in a very long time.

Hoping for Ferrell to return to his Step Brotherly greatness, Holmes and Watson fails to solve the biggest mystery of all: where hath all the humour gone? Even with partner in crime John C. Reilly, Ferrell fails to reach anywhere near the comedic greatness of his earlier films. Even with an ensemble support cast boasting Coogan, Brydon and Fiennes - this film made me want to rip my eyes out and denounce everything great about film. What the HELL MAN!

The Press Reviews

  • "Holmes & Watson" is more of a well-meaning misfire than a total train wreck. It's frustrating mainly because all of these folks can do much better. They can be a lot Daffier. Full Review

  • You'll need a magnifying glass to find the jokes in this send-up of other, better Holmes screen adaptations. Full Review
