The Last Exorcism

The Last Exorcism

Horror movie about a troubled evangelical minister, who agrees to let his last exorcism be filmed by a documentary crew. From producer Eli Roth (Hostel).

When he arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of an earnest fundamentalist, the Reverend Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine 'exorcism' on a disturbed religious fanatic – in this case, the farmer's teenage daughter. Buckling under the weight of his conscience after years of parting desperate believers with their money, Cotton and his crew plan to film a confessionary documentary of this, his last exorcism. Upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it is soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he encounters there.

What about the ending???!!!!

Fantastic film, loved the documentary style and acting was quite fabulous. How it ends though is quite a shock!! Will say nothing more.....

Awesome

Judging by the look of the film and the fact I love all the other films I will highly enjoy this. It will also give me something to clear my mind off the damage caused in my city.

The Last Exorcism makes first-rate use of religious doubt and religious extremism to concoct a novel horror-thriller clever enough to seduce unbelievers while satisfying the bloodlust of its congregation/fanbase.

Stamm’s chiller puts care into scares, taking time to involve us before unleashing its demonic payload.

An unusually restrained and genuinely eerie little movie perched at the intersection of faith, folklore and female puberty

The method is well-worn and the subject-matter familiar, but this is a smart, scary little picture.
