Tangled

Disney's 50th full length animated feature film is Tangled – a telling of fairy tale Rapunzel. From the makers of Bolt.

When the kingdom’s most wanted, and most charming, bandit Flynn Rider is taken hostage by Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) – a feisty teen with 20 metres of golden hair who’s looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years – the unlikely duo sets off on an escapade filled with "adventure, heart, humour and hair, lots of hair".

Its not a classic but it is fun and well made. Entertaining - which is all I wanted

As good as a Pixar production

As with any Disney princess movie you know it's going to have a happy ending, however it still threw up some surprises, and the way the two characters came together actually seemed quite natural, probably even more so than some live action romcoms! Mandy Moore and Zachery Levi do a fantastic job of injecting life into the characters, and it was a...

Pure Escapism, Sweet and Fun

The abducted Princess and rakish rogue make a good team. Lots of action, witty banter and energetic music. Like the animation and characters. I would have enjoyed this as a 10 year old and certainly appreciate the artistry as an adult. My friend took her 9 year old and he loved it.

Awesome movie

Saw it in 3D, good story, good characters, great visually. 6 year old loved it, now have to wait for the Blu Ray so the other 2 can see it :)

LOVED IT

Well despite not being the target audience for this film, i loved it. The character development was important for the film, song here and there and just brilliant. I will watch it again when it comes out on DVD - yay DIsney.

Well done yet again Walt Disney

I would have to rate this quite a high movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it really well done. The kids will love it, and the fact that one of the voice actors is a personal favourite topped it off. Well don yet again.

So. Cute!

The cutest movie I've seen for a long time! And it's not just a predictable children's movie - there are plenty of jokes and moments for everyone, and besides, everyone should hear a fairytale every once and a while :) Really great music too, as per usual for Disney!

Realising that there’s a German fairy tale they haven’t taken advantage of, Disney retell the story of Rapunzel. This probably would have been a movie not to give two stuffs about if it weren’t for John Lasseter’s sweet, sweet seal of approval. For a non-Pixar 3D Disney film, Tangled is both hilarious and heartfelt; a valiant effort at reclaiming Walt’s...

Let Down Your Hair!!

A really enjoyable movie for kids (adults could like it too) as it is really pretty to watch and entertains like the movie trailer describes. Thanks Disney!

Tangled is snappily paced and easy enough to get wrapped up in, propelled by a set of jaunty, serviceable songs from venerable composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater.

It's no crime to say Tangled is nothing spectacularly new on the story front or when it comes to the songs- but thanks to a warmth and engaging charm as well as some good solid animation, it's a great family time out at the cinema.

Tangled is the 50th animated feature from Disney, and its look and spirit convey a modified, updated but nonetheless sincere and unmistakable quality of old-fashioned Disneyness.

Disney's spirited re-telling of Rapunzel in 3D animation turns out to be a dazzler.

It takes a bit of doing, but when Tangled's core sweetness asserts itself and the film dares to wear its heart on its sleeve in a climactic scene featuring 46,000 paper lanterns, it's been worth the wait.

A passably entertaining hodgepodge of old and new animation techniques, mixed sensibilities and hedged commercial calculations.
