There is nothing I much disliked but little to really recommend. At least the movie was not nonstop slapstick, and there were a few moments of relative gravity...
Full reviewFamily mis-adventure comedy about a father's die-hard mission to bring family unity, starring Robin William, Jeff Daniels and Cheryl Hines. From the director of Men in Black.
Bob (Williams) drags his reluctant family on a cross country road trip to Colorado in a rented campervan (or 'RV'). Kids complain, breaks fail, dishes fly, toilet overfills - everything that can wrong does. Also traveling a similar route, are the aggressively friendly, Gornicke family (Daniels is the dad). This family sing country songs together and home-school the kids. Bob's family tries at every turn to ditch them.
