Best Film winner at the 2005 Academy Awards, Clint Eastwood directs and stars as a trainer with an elusive past who works with a determined woman (Hilary Swank) in an attempt to establish herself as a professional boxer. An underdog, she manages to battle her way to a title fight. A freak tragedy during that fight dramatically alters both their lives.

All three key players took home Oscars – Eastwood for directing, Swank and Morgan Freeman for acting.
