Ice Age 4: Continental Drift

Manny, Sid and Diego are back for a fourth adventure after their continent is set adrift. The group set a course for home using an iceberg as a sea vessel, however a band of pirates look to halt their expedition…

Scrat's nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the gang's greatest adventure. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag gang of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

Good family Fun

A very light hearted look at a wooly mamoths attempt to reunite his family after a very rapid continental shift. Brilliant special effects with lots of clever laugh out load moments.

While much of this installment has a been-there, done-that feel, the sight of Scrat holding his breath underwater or Sid paralyzed by a lotus berry rank among the series' more inspired moments.

Ice Age still feels a tad too simplistic in its characterisation to be a worthy challenger to the CGI-anime crown.

Has the goods for kids but fails to break new ground for the series.
