EPISODE 1.1

Episode 1
Angry, pervy, outrageous and hilarious, Fleabag arrives with a bang, as she spins through the city grasping at anyone and anything that might keep her head above water.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s award-winning comedy-drama first delighted viewers in 2016, introducing a wider audience to a sarcastic, horny, nihilistic and deeply sad young woman fond of breaking the fourth wall. Known only as Fleabag and played by Waller-Bridge, adapting her Edinburgh Fringe award-winning play of the same name, the title character attempts to navigate singledom, family strife and a deeply traumatic event - which frequently proves more hilarious than it sounds.
So my real and feels
This is exactly the struggle for a contemporary woman who is alone, lonely, suffering trauma and trying to distract and dissociate herself and be modern, and happy, and edgy and all those things that - in Western Society - you are at once told to be, and told not to be. Hard at first because she is an anti-character. But worth persisting!
