The gross-out romp Nekrotronic, from the makers of Wyrmwood, is finally arriving

The Australian zombie movie Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead arrived like a bat out of hell in 2014. At the time of its release it earned the dubious distinction of being one of the most pirated films in the world.

The film’s creators – brothers Kian and Tristan Roache-Turner – are presumably hoping more people cough up some coin for their next film, Nekrotronic.

This gross-out genre film been described as a “sci-fi horror comedy about soul-sucking demons declaring war on the human race.” So, our kinda film.

Nekrotronic is about to land in Australia, after a bloody long wait since its premiere at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

It will have its Australian premiere at the SciFi Film Festival, on Friday September 6 at Event George Street, Sydney. The Roache-Turner brothers will be there for a Q&A after the film. Tickets are available here.

Before Nekrotronic arrives on digital, Blu-ray and DVD on September 10, there’ll be a few other screenings around Australia. Details below.
