It's not THE best zombie film, but its definitely had the thrill, the suspense, the epidemic, the worldwide apocalypse, and the zombies. Masses of zombies were coming in from all directions which I'm pretty sure made everyone giddy about wanting to hose them all with a machine gun. I'm happy that the female characters weren't your typical damsels in apocalyptic films and stood out much more than Brad Pitt. He didn't deliver a striking performance which made me root for the zombies to eat him all the more. One thing that bugged me was the lack of child-zombies. I did not see a little kid turn into a zombie, run on all fours, and came at the family-loving-husband-with-two-kids (that would have developed his character more, do you see?). The film wasn't worth watching in the cinemas. It'd be better if you watched it in DVD at home on a comfy couch, with a smartphone beside you, ready to live tweet how you'd survive the zombie apocalypse. (I gave this film one more star out of 3/5 because of the ending where everyone's attitude was all like "screw it, can't be bothered finding the cure let's just burn 'em all to hell").
