You have to be in the right mood to see this
If you want to have a laugh at the stupidness of the Twilight series, this is your film. However, you might also find yourself not laughing at how stupid and boring this parody is. The film wasted lots of potential, as the source material really needs the parody treatment.
Appeals to 11 year olds.
My husband and I gave this a "0" and "1". The only reason we didn't leave is because we took our son and his 11 year old friend. They gave the movie a "3" and "4". This is a movie to drop your kids off to at best. Having said that there are other movies they would better enjoy like "The Other Guys". My husband wishes it were possible to unwatch a movie...

Variety
pressThe lame mediocrity of Vampires Suck undeniably reps an advance for writer-directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. By just about any other standard, however, this instantly forgettable trifle is fairly close to worthless.

The New York Times
pressThis pointless parody dumps us in the fictional town of Sporks, Wash., a location lousy with vampires and werewolves.

New York Daily News
press"Vampires" doesn't suck, exactly, but the laziness and lack of imagination kinda bites.

Hollywood Reporter
pressThe main performers do a reasonably good job of parodying the "Twilight" leads, with Proske particularly effective in subtly lampooning Kristen Stewart's moody mannerisms.

Christchurch Press
pressIf ever there's a movie description to strike dread into the heart of a film reviewer's heart it's this phrase: ``From the guys who brought you Disaster Movie, Epic Movie and Date Movie.''
