In the mid-1800s China is at unrest, the Quing dynasty runs the country under corrupt power. Three blood brothers – Zhao Er-Hu (Lau), Jiang Wu-Yang (Kaneshiro) and leader General Pang (Jet Li) - decide it’s time for change. The Warlords follows their rise to power in a bid to end war and restore peace. But soon power takes over Pang's original intent, and he becomes what he was fighting to stop. His need for supremacy grows so strong, Jiang feels the only way to stop him is to end his life.
