The Raven

John Cusack (High Fidelity) stars as famed American author Edgar Allan Poe in this fictionalised thriller. The macabre writer is pitted against a serial killer who utilises the inventive murder methods described in Poe's mystery stories. From the director of V For Vendetta.

Set in 19th Century Baltimore, Detective Fields (Luke Evans, Immortals) discovers a murder resembling those depicted in Poe's work and brings the struggling writer in for questioning. But as the body count mounts and Poe's alibies stack up, Fields enlists the author to help find the killer. When it appears someone close to Poe will become the next victim, the "inventor of the detective story" calls on his powers of deduction to try to solve the case before it hits even closer to home.
