When their plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, billionaire Charles (Hopkins) and photographer Robert (Baldwin) hatch a plan to return to civilization. While battling the elements and a Kodiak bear who stalks them, the pair also confront each other's egos as Charles' suspicions that Robert is having an affair with his model wife (Elle McPherson) come to the surface.

Full review...The Edge's fusion of Mametspeak with a true life adventure remains brawny entertainment, even it it is difficult to take as seriously as the filmmakers intend.
Full reviewThere is a lot to enjoy here. Tamahori's second Hollywood outing is economically directed, the scenery is spectacular and beautifully shot by Donald M. McAlpine and the initial air crash rivals Alive for its sudden, chaotic realism.
