Swept From The Sea

Based on the short story by Joseph Conrad (Heart of Darkness). When the sole survivor of a shipwreck washes up on the shores of a small English town, a dangerous romance begins when he meets Amy Foster (Rachel Weisz). Amy, considered a simpleton by some and a witch by others, is immediately drawn to the mysterious stranger and they become friends and lovers. But the happiness they find is short-lived - as the bitter townsfolk conspire to tear the two 'outcasts' apart.
