Reviews & comments
This movie sucks!
Spiderman was average, Spiderman 2 was good, Spiderman 3 is a piece of sh*t! So boring... so very, very boring. The only reason I stayed in the cinema was in the hope the final battle would make up for the rest of the film and my god did it disapoint. What a waste of a great superhero and his nemesis.
I liked "Spider-man" and "Spider-man 2" but this was crap
How do you screw up a movie with Venom in it? I mean, come on! That's just poor. Did he even get named Venom in the film? The main actors in the film were fine for the most part but Grace was crap in his scene in the church breaking down and so was Franco in a few of his scenes... in fact, the main actors weren't fine for the most part, the were pretty...

Variety
pressThe three main recurring characters get stuck in a rut and the same can be said of the film itself in "Spider-Man 3." After the significant improvement of the second installment over the first, new entry represents a roughly equivalent dip in quality and enjoyment, with Spidey now giving off the faint odor of running on fumes...

The Washington Post
pressAn overlong, visually incoherent, mean-spirited and often just plain awful Spider-Man 3...

Hollywood Reporter
pressThe biggest and longest (clocking in at 139 minutes) and quite possibly the capper of a trilogy featuring the current talent lineup, "Spider-Man 3" has done it again... The wow factor works overtime with state-of-the-art effects sequences that often are as beautiful as they are astonishing...

New Zealand Herald
pressFeels weighed down by its urges to go bigger and say more. A superhero movie as entertaining as its predecessors would have done the trick just fine. This one crawls all over the place far too much...

Empire Magazine
pressIt may sound like a Spider-pan, but three stars is a recommendation. It’s just a shame to note that, after promising greatness, all Spider-Man 3 delivers is satisfaction...

Christchurch Press
pressAlthough not supremely spectacular, Spidey 3 is another sure-footed entry in what is becoming one of the most entertaining franchises...

BBC
pressIt's this emotional push-and-pull that raises the stakes, prompting a sharper intake of breath as Spidey goes swinging into action. And there's plenty of that - awesome aerobatic battles, each one topping the last. Shrewd moments of comedy bring our hero crashing back to earth...
