The story of a homeless man (Djimon Hounsou), an art dealer (Greg Kinnear), and the woman who bound them together (Renée Zellweger).

Deborah Hall (Zellweger), wife of art dealer Ron, has a dream that leads the couple to make the acquaintance of Denver Moore (Hounsou). The unlikely relationship that unfolds between Hall and Moore ends up changing both of their lives for the better, helping save Ron and Deborah's marriage as well as coaxing a reconciliation between Hall and his father (Jon Voight).

Based on the memoir of the same name, co-written by Moore, Hall and Lynn Vincent.
