Disney delivers a vibrant action-fantasy epic with another heroine who feels legitimately revolutionary.
Full reviewDisney animated fantasy adventure, set in a world called Kumandra, where a warrior searches for the last dragon. From the writer of Crazy Rich Asians, featuring the voices of Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Golden Globe winner Awkwafina (The Farewell).
Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.

Full reviewIt has excellent replay value, fun, marketable characters, and it's downright fun.
Full reviewProof that Disney needs to focus on moving forward rather than continuing to look back.
Full reviewA beautifully animated, action-packed hero's journey, and a great next evolution of Disney's modern-day princess films.
Full reviewFeels fresh not just for the mere fact of its female-forward and predominately Asian cast, but for the breeziness with which it bears the weight of Disney history...
