Race To Witch Mountain
Based on the novel and a film series from the ‘70s and ‘80s, this is a sci-fi thriller for the family. Disney has re-imagined the story with big-budget effects and some heavy-lifting from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
He plays a Las Vegas taxi driver who picks up a young pair of extra-terrestrial siblings on the run from an evil organisation. The brother/sister duo have otherworldly powers, like the ability to teleport and talk to animals (very handy). They enlist their cabbie to get them to Witch Mountain before their foes discover its secrets.

Surprisingly Good
I think the mixed reviews kept me cautios when accompanying the 14yr girl to the movies - considering we are movie buffs who generally focus on less commercial movies we actually enjoyed it tremendously! Was quite surprised when my more critical husband also complimented the movie. We loved the humour of setting it amongst the all-too-true and crazy UFO...
