Intolerable Cruelty
Coen brothers' battle-of-the-sexes screwball comedy starring George Clooney as Miles, a hot shot divorce lawyer, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Marilyn, a gold-digger who uses marriage/divorce to fund her extravagant lifestyle. In the aftermath of a court battle in which Miles denies Marilyn a sizeable marital purse, he finds himself smitten while she wants revenge. From there, the cold-hearted pair engage in a ruthless romantic pursuit to out-swindle each other.
