The movie is nice to look at, the colors and details are elegant, the animals engaging, the action fast-moving, but I don't think older viewers will like it as much as the kids.
Full reviewFox's foray into animation set itself apart with the first Ice Age. With its baron setting, silent passages, and edgier animation style - it was, like, the alt-cartoon. Well those nutty critters Manny, Sid and Die, return in a new pint sized mission to save the world from imminent climate change. Oh, how they all laugh at first, the sweet warm air, a paradise of swimming pools and geysers. Yet, the trio soon discover the fun is only a distraction from a disaster soon to strike. The melting ice is set to flood their village, and the inhabitants must be saved!
