Sylvester Stallone is maniac cop John Spartan opposite Wesley Snipes as maniac criminal Simon Phoenix in this classic '90s action sci-fi. When Spartan's actions result in both Phoenix's capture and the death of civilians, they are both arrested and put in suspended animation. 36 years later, Spartan emerges to a non-violent future, as does his nemesis. Co-stars Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock, Oscar nominee Nigel Hawthorne (Yes Minister) and Emmy nominee Benjamin Bratt (Law & Order). And also Rob Schneider.

The pleasant surprise about Demolition Man is that both the script, and Stallone, are funny; the film blends big-budget action and tongue-in-cheek humor in the way that "last action hero" tried, and failed, to do.
