Charlie St. Cloud

A romantic drama starring Zac Efron (High School Musical) as accomplished young sailor Charlie St. Cloud. Life is sweet: he has the adoration of his mum Claire (Kim Basinger) and little brother Sam, as well as a college scholarship that will lead him far from his sleepy hometown. But his bright future is cut short when Sam dies in a car accident.

Charlie withdraws from life, meeting the spirit of his brother in the cemetery to play catch. After his high-school classmate Tess (Amanda Crew) returns home unexpectedly, Charlie grows torn between honoring his past and moving forward with newfound love.

From the director of Igby Goes Down and 17 Again (also starring Efron).

Haven't seen it YET !!!

My review is hardly about the movie, because I haven't seen it. Im am writing this to complain that me and my friend cannot find it on the session times on this website, only if we click NOW PLAYING and from the NOW PLAYING section we cannot see session times which is a bummer because I really want to see it. I don't care what you people say about it. I...

What a waste of time

What can i say, the Rolling Stone magazine said that some movies should carry a lepers bell as warning and that Charlie St cloud is one of them. Couldnt agree more, boring, long, soppy, no chemistry between hunky Zac Efron and Amanda Crew. Was so corny it was funny... i see dead people, havent we seen that in another movie. Don't bother people, total waste...

a disappointment

I loved the story as presented in the book, and there is so much potential there to make a great movie. Rather on this attempt they simply dropped the ball. At times I wanted to be transported out of there on a wave of white light, too!

Worth it only for Zac Efron

I usually enjoy cheesy movies that most people cringe at, but this one was pushing it. You won't miss out if you dont see it but it is worth seeing purely for the eye-candy if your a Zac Efron fan.

Religious overtones, however, could make this the rare mainstream feature that connects with the faith-based entertainment market.

You are not, in a movie like this, supposed to think too much; you are supposed to be transported beyond skepticism on a wave of pure, tacky feeling. Instead, in this case, you drown in sentimental, ghoulish nonsense.

Some bad movies should carry a leper's bell to warn off ticket buyers. Such a contagion is Charlie St. Cloud, a load of mawkish swill starring Zac Efron (bereft of the talent he showed in "Me and Orson Welles").

For now, Efron remains an unrealized dream and Charlie St. Cloud an unrealized movie, though judging from the "ooohhs" and "awwwws" from the audience, for his core tween-girl fans, that's more than enough.

The film doesn't just fail, it actually gets sillier by the minute.

Charlie (Zac Efron) and Sam (Charlie Tahan) St Cloud make a great team. Despite there being six years between them, the pair are virtually unbeatable on the water and inseparable on land. But all that is about to change.
