The Take podcast: revisiting Contagion + what is cinema’s steamiest sex scene?

Why is everybody watching Contagion again? And what is cinema’s steamiest sex scene? Tune into this week’s episode of The Take.

Episode breakdown

First up host Blake Howard and Melbourne-based screen critic Cameron Williams discuss the re-emergence of Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion as the world comes to grips with the coronavirus.

Then, to celebrate the arrival of Team America: World Police on Stan (see all new films on Stan), we’re making the case for the steamiest sex scene. Team America, of course, has one of the most graphic sex scenes in cinema history.

This week’s Duel of Takes (18:30) is a battle between sex on top of crime scene photos in Taking Lives, and sex in a library in Atonement. Prosecuting the case for Taking Lives is Maria Lewis and arguing for Atonement is author, journalist and Flicks contributor Jenna Guillaume.
