Fans of Aussie TV might think of Fountain Gate as the go-to haunt for Kath & Kim, but this Village Cinemas location is anything but daggy: pendulous red lights lure you up a staircase to a state-of-the-art theatre.
Inside you can expect Village Cinemas’ standard of traditional movie snacks, cinematically lit hallways, and comfy carpeted rooms with some monster screens. The Vmax and Gold Class theatres offer a special outing when you’ve already enjoyed Fountain Gate’s more modest screens.
There’s also a bunch of fun games, claw machines, and a generous lounge area to make your wait before the movie all the more pleasant. A simple trip up to level 2, and you might forget about all the shopping hustle and bustle below by the time the lights dim.
Getting Here, Map & Parking
Fountain Gate Shopping Centre is just off exit 22 from the Monash Freeway. Parking: there are over six thousand spots of free parking to utilise once you’re there.
A ten minute walk from Narre Warren station is also possible, if you’re traveling along the Pakenham train line.
